The Press

A practical assessment of Barrett Creek's storytelling and production capabilities.

“The Press” is more than a century old apple press, its weathered wood etched with the fingerprints of generations. First wielded in 1963 by Ben’s grandmother it stood at dawn in the family’s orchard, cranking out fresh cider as Ben’s mother and aunts laughed and helped prepare the apples. Through the seasons, “The Press” traveled across British Columbia’s fertile valleys, passed from one generation to the next, each family adding a layer of story to its wooden frame.

Today, Ben’s family still uses the press honoring a tool that binds them to the land, produce and to each other.

In 30 seconds, our ad captures this continuum of B.C.’s agricultural families: the rhythmic routines, the cascades of colors, flavors, and the ever flowing connection to the land. This is testament to our agricultural heritage and the hands that harvest in B.C.
